The name Ayurveda comes from Sanskrit and means “knowledge of life.” The original Ayurvedic texts (the Vedas) contain a comprehensive system of herbal medicine. Our mission is to bring this valuable treasure trove of knowledge to Europe in the form of cosmetic products and to help people with chronic skin conditions—using the power of nature.

To this end, we develop high-quality skincare products that combine traditional Ayurvedic teachings, cutting-edge molecular research, and German quality standards. This is how the Sorion brand was born—a valuable repair skincare line for chronically irritated and itchy skin.

The most important cornerstone of our company is our scientific commitment. Approximately 15 years of research preceded the launch of our first product. An experienced team of microbiologists, Ayurvedic doctors, and phytochemists worked hand in hand with the goal of elevating the millennia-old knowledge of Ayurveda from the original scriptures (Vedas) to a contemporary, scientifically sound level.

What are the active ingredients that matter? In what concentrations are they found in the bark, leaves, flowers, seeds, or roots of the plant? What role do the growing region, the age of the plant, and the extraction method play? How should the plants be combined and processed? All of this was thoroughly researched by our team of researchers.

In this way, the research team has succeeded in verifying the valuable properties of many traditional plants and using them to develop the best possible formulations for therapy-supporting skin care for chronic inflammatory skin conditions—while ensuring consistently high product quality. Only authentic Ayurvedic plants from India are used, plants that unfold their full potency under the local sun.

Today, the product line includes not only the proven Sorion Repair Cream for acute care of skin irritations, itching, and eczema, but also Sorion Repair Cream Sensitive for long-term care of chronically irritated skin, a gentle cleansing soap, and two special products for irritated and flaky scalps: Sorion Repair Head Fluid and Sorion Repair Shampoo.
